Battery life time become more crucial because of mobiles which have more applications and software programs then before therefore they consume more battery.Below are tips to protect battery and increase its life time
Don't charge and discharge battery frequently
Charge once in a day and allow it to be full
Don't use same battery in different mobiles like a battery of Nokia1110 should not be used for Nokia N95
Don't remove battery cover or seal
Disable all moving wallpapers and select a static wallpaper for your mobile
If possible disable screen saver also
Keep backlight time minimum
